Liverpool finnaly to signing switch for Ligue 1 champions first-team star still on the cards

Liverpool are allegedly ready to renew their interest in Lille and Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches.

The Anfield side were extensively linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old during the summer transfer market as Jurgen Klopp eyed a successor for Georginio Wijnaldum.

However, that transfer failed to materialise as the German tactician appeared to place trust in those midfield players already at his disposal at Anfield.

According to a recent report from Italian news outlet Calciomercarto, the Reds remain keen on the former Bayern Munich and Benfica ace.

The report continues, by stating that Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan are also interested in the player.

He has recently returned from an injury suffered having made a stunning start to the 2021/22 Ligue 1 campaign.

The dynamic midfielder, who is under contract in France until June 2023, has already enjoyed a mixed career to date.

The middle of the pitch is one zone that has to be under serious consideration in the winter transfer window.
