Chelsea Transfer Round-Up: Done Deal, Battle win for Ligue 1 star, World-Class No.9 on agree

Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi has joined Besiktas on a season-long loan after signing a new two-year deal with Chelsea.

The 27-year-old attacker has moved to Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1 giants, Marseille in 2016 and has found the back of the net 25 times across 77 games for the Blues.

However, Batshuayi has regularly spent time away from the team, having been loaned to Dortmund and Valencia before two spells at Crystal Palace.

The Belgium international will now spend the 2021-22 season, with Turkish giants Besiktas after extending his Chelsea deal.

“Very, very happy to join Besiktas,” Batshuayi posted on Twitter. “An incredible opportunity for me and I’m already looking to play.

“Thank you to all the fans for the crazy welcome at Istanbul. See you at the stadium very soon.”

Batshuayi follows fellow forward Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham out of Stamford Bridge after they made respective moves to Serie A giants AC Milan and Roma.
