Hammer blow for West Ham as report claims ‘brilliant’ £16m ace wants to join Chelsea
West Ham have been dealt a huge Filip Kostic blow with the German media claiming that he would only leave Eintracht Frankfurt to join Chelsea this summer.
High-profile German website BILD claim that Kostic, 29, has no intention of throwing away Champions League football in oder to play in the UEFA Conference League and as a result, Chelsea would be the only option for him, were he to move to London.
Hammers boss David Moyes has been chasing the 48-capped Serbia International for the past week or so now and reports recently emerged that the East London outfit are prepared to make him the club’s joint highest earner.
That’s around £120k-a-week according to Frankfurter Rundschau.
It seems as though Chelsea could throw a real spanner in the works for West Ham though.
BILD reckon that the Serbian has no intention whatsoever of throwing away the chance to play Champions League football this summer.
And as a result, he will only leave Deutsche Bank Park if Chelsea come knocking. If true, that’s shocking news for the Hammers.

What a signing Kostic would be for either West Ham or Chelsea this summer.
The Eintracht Frankfurt ace is an incredibly hard-working player.
He is old fashioned in the sense that he’s left-footed and plays on the left! As a result, Kostic is much more of a provider than a goalscorer.
The 48-capped Serbia international bagged 15 assists and seven goals in 43 games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season (Transfermarkt). That’s a healthy return by anyone’s standards.
We would absolutely love to see Filip Kostic at West Ham.
However, it seems as though Chelsea are in a far better position than West Ham to sign Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.
He will only cost around £16 million this summer (The Sun). Whichever club ends up signing him will have got themselves a real bargain, that’s for sure.
