Star Signing – Confirmed: Chelsea will push to snap up 21-year-old French club prized asset

Chelsea are allegedly preparing to step up their long-running pursuit of Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni amid firm interest from Italian giants Juventus.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who made his France debut at the start of this month, has scored once in 10 matches for his Ligue 1 outfit at the start of the 2021-22 season.

The Blues and their Premier League rivals Manchester United were both linked with the Frenchman over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the player still at Monaco.

Aurelien could be on the move next year, though, and according to Tuttomercatoweb journalist Nicolo Ceccarini, the London heavyweights will step up their interest because of competition from Juventus.

Ceccarini states that Thomas Tuchel’s side are planning to submit a ‘very attractive proposal’ for Les Monegasques ace, who has featured on 55 occasions for his side in all competitions.

He played in all three of his nation’s September internationals, debuting versus Bosnia-Herzegovina on September 1 before featuring against Finland and Ukraine.

Elsewhere, AC Milan senior figure Paolo Maldini is still hopeful that the club will be able to agree a fresh deal with Chelsea target Franck Kessie, as the speculation surrounding the player’s future continues.
