Ligue 1 star officially announces‘i am leaving Marseille’ ahead of potential Man United move

Marseille midfielder and Man United target Boubacar Kamara has announced he will be leaving the club at the end of his contract this summer.

The season is now over for Man United fans and once again they have seen the gap between them and Man City grow even bigger after a very disappointing campaign.

The Red Devils have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons – poor performances – players wanting t leave – managers that have not known what they are doing – and of course no Champions league football next season.

But that will hopefully all change next season now that Erik ten Hag is the new boss – and the Dutchman will want to solve a few issues this coming summer transfer window – and sign players that actually want to be at the club.

That has led to reports in the media linking United with a move for Kamara – who has just helped Marseille get back into the Champions League for next season – and who is being chase by a few Premier League clubs.

And amid all the speculation surrounding his future – The 22-year-old midfielder has now come out and confirmed that he will be leaving the French giants in the coming window, he said:

“I’ve made my decision, which is to not renew and to leave OM at the end of this season.

“I think it’s the best decision for the next part of my career.”

“I’m at a point in my career where I want to progress, to discover a new challenge, a new league. I’ve chosen my future club, you’ll find out who it is soon.”

Look, We do not know who Ten Hag wants to add to his Man United squad, But we do know that Kamara is a quality player that could add something to that midfield.

He is not world class but he is a man that would be a real bargain, so it will be interesting to see if Th Red Devils do make a move to try and get a deal done now that he has admitted he is leaving.

Deal Close: Ligue 1 starlet finnaly join Liverpool next month

Deal Close: Ligue 1 starlet could join Liverpool next month

Premier League giants, Liverpool have reportedly been sending scouts to keep tabs on Saint-Etienne wonderkid Saidou Sow.

The 19-year-old arrived at the Les Verts academy six years ago and has risen through the ranks to become a regular fixture of the first team under Pascal Dupraz.

Sow has already played 30 games for Saint-Etienne in all competitions, founding back of the net twice and providing one assist in the process, all of which came in the recently-ended Ligue 1 campaign.

The promising defender could not prevent Saint-Etienne from being relegated, though, as he did not play a single minute of his side’s two-legged playoff loss to Auxerre.

Sow’s emergence in the Verts side could therefore catch the attention of potential suitors, although the youthful defender stays under deal at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard until 2025.

According to L’Equipe, via InsideFutbol, the Merseyside Reds recently sent agents to keep track of Sow during the international break after a recommendation by Naby Keita.

Sow and Keita have spent time together in the Guinea setup since the latter earned his first national team call-up in 2020, and the Saint-Etienne man played the full 90 of last week’s 1-0 loss to Egypt.

Sow has now earned 11 caps for the Guinea national team, and Keita is believed to rate his compatriot highly after the starlet impressed against Mohamed Salah.

The Merseyside Reds bolstered their defensive ranks last summer with the acquisition of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig, however, English defender, Joe Gomez could head for the exit door this summer.

The Englishman only played a bit-part role in the 2021-22 campaign and has been rumoured with moves to the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the current window.

DEAL CLOSE: Man Utd finnaly to agree deal for Ligue 1 World-Class in-demand defender

Man Utd determined to agree deal for Ajax in-demand defender

Manchester United are allegedly ‘seriously interested’ in snapping up Ajax defender Jurrien Timber in the summer transfer window.

The player enjoyed an impressive 2021-22 season for his Dutch club, making 43 outings in all competitions, netting three goals and grabbing two assists in the process.

In de Joden’s title-winning Eredivisie campaign, he featured 30 times, registering three goals and two assists, while the 20-year-old also appeared eight times in the UEFA Champions League this term.

He only has a little over 24 months left to run on his existing deal, though, and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding his long-term future in the latest weeks.

Incoming Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag is said to be interested in bringing the six-time Netherlands international with him to the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern Munich made an official enquiry for the talent but were told that the ace is currently in talks regarding a possible switch to England.

Plettenberg states that Ralf Rangnick’s side are ‘seriously interested’ in him, and conversations with the youngster’s camp have already taken place.

When asked about his future in April, the Dutchman said that he was in no rush to leave de Joden, but Jurrien spoke of his close relationship with Erik.

“I’m good at Ajax. I can still learn a lot, especially if we continue to play in the Champions League,” he told Het Parool.

“He deserves it (the Man United job). Ten Hag has been very important to me personally. Under him I became the footballer, the man I am today.

“The coach talked to me a lot. He’s been very critical, in a good, constructive way. I won’t forget it any time soon.”

OFFICIAL SIGNING: Man Utd finnaly to agreeing personal terms with Ligue 1 star ahead of £51m move

Man Utd close to agreeing personal terms with Ajax star ahead of £51million move

Manchester United are in talks with Ajax star Antony over a £51million move.

Antony has been persistently linked with a move to United after starring under Erik ten Hag at Ajax last season.

Goal Brasil now report the Premier League side are making serious progress in making the 22-year-old their first signing of the summer and the first of the new era at Old Trafford.

The report claims Antony’s representatives have arrived in Europe with the intention of ‘accelerating’ or ‘closing’ a deal with United.

The winger’s future is expected to be decided in the coming days with the transfer valued in the region of €60million.

Antony finished last season’s Eredivisie-winning campaign with 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 league appearances, missing the final seven games of the season with an ankle injury.

United also hope to sign another member of that Ajax side in Jurrien Timber – although latest reports from Netherlands would suggest the 20-year-old could stay in Netherlands for another season.

Frenkie de Jong, who played under ten Hag at Ajax, is another coveted by the Premier League side. United are close to agreeing a €80m fee with Barcelona but it remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old can be convinced to leave the Camp Nou.

Ten Hag is eager to bring in a versatile forward option with 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo the team’s only consistent source of goals last season.

Benfica striker Darwin Nunez is a target but the 22-year-old has now agreed personal terms with rivals Liverpool.

"TWO SIGNING": LFC agree on to sign in-demand Ligue 1 forward and €35m-rated Brazil international

Liverpool keen on to sign in-demand Ligue 1 forward and €35m-rated Brazil international

Liverpool were allegedly among a host of sides ‘watching’ Reims forward Hugo Ekitike in Ligue 1 action recently.

The 19-year-old Frenchman has attracted a lot of interest from the Premier League of late and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United were said to be close to agreeing a January deadline day swoop.

Having failed to clinch transfer, the Reds, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are also understood to have sent scouts to monitor the teenager, 90min reports.

The report adds that representatives of the Merseyside club were there to ‘cast an eye’ on the France youth international starlet.

This season Ekitike has netted 10 times and registered four assists in 22 outings across all competitions – including a goal with emissaries from all around Europe in attendance.

Rated at £5.4 million and under contract until June 2024 (Transfermarkt), the sum for signing the ace likened to Kylian Mbappe would be very small compared to the real thing.

In other news, Barcelona boss Xavi is reportedly poised to tie Liverpool target Gavi down to a fresh contract at Camp Nou.

His emergence has reportedly attracted the attention of the Reds, with the club preparing to activate his €50m (£43m) exit clause if Blaugrana cannot reach an agreement with the midfielder over an extension.

According to Sport, the manager is pushing for his side to agree a fresh deal with him with a significantly higher buy-out clause and wage, as the ace is reported to earn just £1.600 per week under his existing terms.

Man United and Liverpool have both made an approach for Ajax forward Antony Matheys, according to reports in Brazil. Brazil international has been one of Ajax’s standout performers under Erik ten Hag this campaign, scoring 12 goals and registering 10 assists in 33 games.

Man United are looking to strengthen their front-line after a woeful season, and it’s understood that the Dutch manager has identified Matheus as a signing who could immediately improve his team. Liverpool are also in the running to add Antony and have made a concrete approach ‘in recent weeks’ along with Man United.

Erik ten Hag has now worked with the 22-year-old winger for two campaigns at Ajax, and the attacker was quick to make an impact in the Eredivisie following his arrival from Sao Paulo in an £18.2m deal in 2020. Newcastle United have also made an approach, but the Brazilian attacker’s preference would be to join either Man United or Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag made his admiration for the South American attacker clear. ‘If Antony were to go, it would be a loss for Ajax,’ the Dutch coach said. ‘You have no one in the current squad who can take over his position. He is top class.’ The Brazilian’s current contract with Eredivisie giants expires in 2025.

Speaking about Matheus’ impact on the Ajax team earlier this month, Erik ten Hag said: ‘Without Antony it is all a bit less fast and dynamic on the right, which also makes it more difficult for the team. Then the spaces become a lot smaller.’

OFFICIAL SIGNING: Jurgen Klopp complete deal to hand £85m to sign World-Class star

Jurgen Klopp is about to unleash Robert Lewandowski plan at Liverpool after £85m change

If there’s one thing for which Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool boss will ultimately be remembered, it’s goals. Lots and lots and lots of goals.

A total of 790 have been netted by the Reds since the German assumed control in October 2015, a club record 147 in the recently-completed season alone.

But a deeper dive into the figures reveals an astonishing fact that will prompt pause for thought among Liverpool supporters as they prepare to welcome imminent new signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

Less than 10% of those goals have been scored by a player who could be termed a traditional number nine. Divock Origi, while spending some time on the flank, would be considered thus, notching 41 of the 76 managed by a good old-fashioned forward under Klopp.

Daniel Sturridge is next on 25, after which there are slim pickings with Christian Benteke notching eight and one apiece for Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke. That’s it.

Of course, with Liverpool having racked up astonishing goal tallies season after season – they also managed three-figure returns in 2019/20 and 2017/18 – there has been little concern over the ability to ruffle the onion bag, the versatility of tactics and the talent of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, later followed by Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, giving the Reds one of the most feared strikeforces on the planet.

The signing of Nunez, though, represents a subtle shift in approach. Sure, the 22-year-old can operate on the left and featured eight times this season as a second striker – scoring twice against Barcelona from the position – but it’s as the focal point of the attack he has been employed most consistently throughout his career.

Breaking down packed defences was rarely a major issue for Liverpool last term – they only failed to score in six of 63 games, albeit three were cup finals – but the departure of Origi means the Reds had a hole to fill in terms of being able to call on a direct threat down the centre, even if Jota and later Mane were slowly transforming into one.

And given his eye-watering fee – it could eventually be a club record £85million – Nunez is going to play more often than not. Klopp, then, is likely to build an attack around a more traditional centre forward for the first time in his Liverpool tenure.

A step into the unknown for the Reds boss? Perhaps. But only in terms of his Anfield reign. After all, he knows how to get the best from an out-and-out striker. Just ask Robert Lewandowski, who spent four years working under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.

«He released that striker’s instinct in me,” the Poland international once said. “I didn’t know that I still had so much potential inside of me. He saw something in me that I couldn’t see.

«He taught me so much. When I arrived at Dortmund, I wanted to do everything quickly: strong pass, one touch only. Jurgen showed me to calm down – to take two touches if necessary. It was totally against my nature, but soon I was scoring more goals.

“When I had that down, he challenged me to speed it up again. One touch, bang, goal. He slowed me down to speed me up. It sounds simple, but it was genius, really.”

Lewandowski scored just nine goals in his first season at Dortmund. His next three saw 94, highlighting the reward of Klopp’s advice. And while the Liverpool boss will hope not have to work so hard at extracting top form from Nunez, nobody should be concerned at the forthcoming shift in attacking emphasis at Anfield.

Chelsea complete deal this 25Y/O attacker but his club’s doing all they can to hold onto him

Chelsea are interested in this 25Y/O attacker but his club’s doing all they can to hold onto him: Can Tuchel lure him in?

The Chelsea manager wants to sign a wide-attacker for the next season and according to 90min, Thomas Tuchel is eager to bring in Jarrod Bowen.

Jarrod Bowen has been an exceptional player for the Hammers during the 2021/22 season, scoring 12 and assisting 10 goals in 36 Premier League games and his current deal expires in 2025.

The Hammers have missed out on European football and since the manager wants to bring in reinforcements, there are rumours that Moyes is ready to sell some of his biggest stars.

However, West Ham United are not willing to part ways with Jarrod Bowen, instead, the club are planning to offer him a new and improved deal in the coming months.

The Blues are willing to offload Ziyech, Pulisic and Timo Werner for the right price and if all three are leaving then Thomas Tuchel can very well use someone like Jarrod Bowen.

Even without all these players leaving Bowen will definitely be an upgrade because almost all of Chelsea’s forwards have been underwhelming in the previous 12 months.

Apart from Kai Havertz, none of the Chelsea attackers have been able to come good this season and even Havertz saw a dip in form during the final few months. With such low performing players, there’s no way Chelsea will be able to challenge Liverpool or Man City next season.

Based on the previous year’s performance, Jarrod Bowen will be a very good signing and since he is an out-and-out wide player, Romelu Lukaku will likely get a lot more early service into the penalty area.

David Moyes does need to sell some players in order to gather funds for the new arrivals but if he can sell Declan Rice then there’s no need for any other exits.

Rice alone will fetch close to 130-150 million pounds and that money will be enough to rebuild for at least three or four transfer windows.

The exit of Jarrod Bowen and a few others will totally depend on Declan Rice’s future because if Moyes cannot cash in on the England international then he will have no other option but to offload a few other first-team players.

SURPRISE !! Man Utd finnaly two signing to submit irrefutable offer to sign £69+50million man

Report – Man Utd finnaly two signing to submit irrefutable offer to sign £69+50million man

Another day, another report on the future of Frenkie de Jong, who does not want to play in the second tier of European Football (Europa League) next season.

After the UEFA Nations League game against Belgium, the Dutch midfielder commented that the position he plays for Netherlands fits him better as compared to Barcelona.

According to a story published by AS today (news image provided below), the statement made by the 25-year-old midfielder has been received with a surprise at the Catalan club.

De Jong likes to play in the defensive midfield role but Barca have made it clear that captain, Busquets, will start in the position and the former Ajax man will have to adapt according to the coach’s game plan.

The Spanish news source have mentioned that the financial situation at the Nou Camp is not strong and the Dutchman is one of the most highly rated players in the squad.

It is stated that Man Utd are ready to make an irrefutable offer to sign De Jong and it would be taken very seriously by the Barcelona management, who can solve the delicate economic situation by selling the midfielder.

As far as the asking price is concerned, reports in Spain have suggested that the Blaugrana club could accept an offer of around £69million (Sport).

The Oranje star wants to stay and play in the Champions League under Xavi next term but he is aware that to raise funds, Barca may sell him.

Manchester United are being backed to make a fresh bid to land Wolves star Ruben Neves this summer.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the Portuguese midfielder this summer, with Erik ten Hag desperate to improve his midfield.

United need to replace Paul Pogba, who will leave Old Trafford when his deal expires at the end of this month.

Neves could be the man, but he will not come cheap for United.

According to The Transfer Exchange Show, United are now readying a £42million deal, having had a £35million offer rejected in January.

Wolves are said to want £50million, with Neves under contract at Molineux until 2024.

According to the report, Neves has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, he would rather stay in England for family reasons.

That’s important because Barcelona have also been linked, meaning United hold an advantage.

But given it would be a transfer between two Premier League clubs, the Red Devils will likely have to pay that premium.

Xherdan Shaqiri has already agreed €350,000/month personal terms as Lyon look to sign him but Burnley and Maxwell Cornet could hold the key to his future.

According to Sky Sports, Burnley have made a £12m offer to Lyon for Maxwell Cornet and if true, it could give the French side the funds necessary to improve their bid for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Last week, it was reported that the Ligue 1 outfit had made a €6million offer for the winger but Liverpool are holding out for at least €8million.

L’Equipe claims that Lyon and Shaqiri already have an agreement on personal terms which will see him earn €350,000/month should he be allowed to move to France.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCED: Paulo Dybala sets signing-watering salary demands to join Man United

Paulo Dybala sets eye-watering salary demands to join Spurs, Arsenal or Man Utd

Tottenham have rejected the chance to sign Argentine forward Paulo Dybala after baulking at his £280,000-a-week wage demands.

The 28-year-old is available on a free transfer after announcing that he will not be extending his contract at Juventus, who he joined in 2015.

Dybala was a target for Spurs and Manchester United in 2019, with both clubs exploring a deal for the Argentine into the final hours of the summer transfer window.

The former Palermo man ended up staying at Juventus but he’s now open to moving to England, with Antonio Conte known to be a fan.

However, the Daily Mail say that Tottenham – who had the strongest interest in Dybala out of the English clubs – have turned down the opportunity to sign him because of his wage demands.

Dybala would break Spurs’ wage structure, making him the highest paid player at the club above Harry Kane.

Arsenal and Manchester United are similarly disinterested, despite both admiring the player’s quality.

The Gunners’ failure to make the top four means they have had to scale back their transfer plans.

Inter Milan are now leading the chase for Dybala, though they’re only willing to give Dybala around £260,000-a-week before tax.
